It’s a special Meatless Monday Bento! Today is Halloween as well as the last Monday of the month!
What’s so special about the last Monday you ask? Read the rest of this entry →
I know it’s not Monday, but “Meatless Tuesday” just doesn’t quite have that same ring.
Yesterday was our monthly #twitterfoodparty with the theme of lemons, limes or yuzu so I took advantage of this late summer flavor for today’s vegetarian bento lunch.
Today is the last Monday of the month which means it’s more than a Meatless Monday occasion.
It’s #twitterfoodparty day and this month’s theme is corn!
I know, right? So many options. Corn is in everything! Including this butter-mochi!
Today was our May #twitterfoodparty and the theme was tofu! A perfect pick for Meatless Monday too!
Yes, these are as crispy and delicious as they appear and they take no time at all to prepare.

Every last Monday of the month, our twitter food-gang tweets out photos of a dish featuring the agreed-upon theme. A #twitterfoodparty!
There are no hard rules and we participate for the pure joy of it. Everyone is invited for our own purely selfish reasons… we want to see what you’re eating!
I was so excited about this month’s theme, hot-dogs, that I actually posted two dishes. And I ended up packing the same for Saba Man’s lunch.
His bento is filled with lup cheong, a Chinese pork sausage—my choice for the hot-dog theme. Very oily, very fragrant, and very delicious!
Definately not a bento but I want to share this awesome dessert that I created for our latest #twitterfoodparty which took place yesterday on Twitter!
The theme was squash hence the hashtag was #twittersquashparty! If you’re a tweeter go on and check out the other mouthwatering photos!
The next one is #twitterhotdogparty which sounds like a lot of fun don’t you think? Won’t join in with your own hot dog photo?
See you on Twitter!
Oh…this scrumptious looking treat is a simple pureed butternut squash with honey, mixed with plain Greek yogurt, then topped with cinamonon, sugar and a crisp kabocha squash chip!

We’re having another #twitterfoodparty today…a special one to celebrate National Sushi Day! Really!
Today’s the day to celebrate eating sushi!
It’s #twitterfoodparty Monday! Every last Monday of the month some twitter foodie friends share a photo of the that month’s theme. October is pasta or noodles!
My dish is “Cake Noodles with Tofu!” Double-cooked chowmein noodles, lightly boiled, then fried into a cake, cut into squares and topped with a savory mix of fried tofu, carrots, onions, shoyu, and vegetarian hoisin sauce!
It’s crunchy-on-the-outside then soft-on-the-inside sensation is tantalizing and I can’t stop eating it.
We are using the hashtag #twitterpastaparty if you’d like to follow or contribute! No pressure to do so but it’s a lot of fun!
