We are still working through our bento stash and that’s why another bento with salmon patties. This time they’re grilled with a soy ginger flavor (thanks Megan) and wrapped with shiso leaves.

Show of hands…who remembers that I was to create last month’s winning “heart-healthy” bento recipe? Let’s recap… just in case. This past January, we held a ”heart-healthy” recipe contest where the winner received a four sectioned bento exactly like the one in the photo and to seal the deal, I was to recreate the winner’s recipe and post it here.

We collected over 50 submissions for February’s BOMB! The red theme was popular with Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year and Healthy Heart Awareness. Each one was creative and delicious looking.
I know I’ve said it before and it’s worth repeating… I’m so glad that the winner is randomly selected.
There’s no way any judge or jury could of picked just one!

I’m a big fan of the Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see an episode about her recent visit to Vancouver BC. “The Glass City” is one of my favorite places to visit so it goes without saying, I was in both travel and food heaven. And to top it off, she went to eat at “Japadog”! What a treat! I’ve eaten there several times and the Winter Olympics is happening so I thought I would post photos of some of their menu items!
