Bunny Bento Box

Posted on December 26, 2010 by Debra

Christmas 2010 is over and we are moving on towards 2011, The Year of the Rabbit!

Can you imagine the cuteness that’s about to invade the bento world?   I’ll need to crank-up the “kawaii factor” for this event because I love bunny-rabbits!

They’re  popular to characterize and I’m looking forward to seeing the creativity in the next week or so and again in February during Chinese New Year.

I’m starting off with this rabbit-patterned box.  It’s very sweet, but very small.

Fried rice, chop chae and ham-roll ups is about all this box can handle.  But it will have to do, until I dig out my bunny-shaped cutters and such.

How about you, are you planning any Year of the Rabbit themed bentos?

Happy New Year! I am excited about the Year of the Rabbit because I recently found out that I AM a Rabbit! All this time, I thought I was a Dragon, but it turns out I was born before the Chinese New Year that year, making me a Rabbit!

And I did make my first Year of the Rabbit themed bento today. More are to come!
