Yakisoba Bento
Woot! Introducing a new bento box. Two-tiered stainless steel! I loves this box.
It’s a Christmas present to myself. But seems really more for Saba Man eh?!
I’ve been hunting around for another stainless steel box and I found this gem pages and pages deep on Amazon.
It’s called a 2 Layer Sandwich Box-Medium! For sandwiches!? Really? I personally think it’s too big for one or even two sandwiches. Maybe banh mi or hoagies? (will try this later)
Much more suited for bento don’t you think?
The top—notice how shallow—tier holds the perfect amount of yakisoba.
The bottom and deeper tier features roasted chicken, tamagoyaki, edamame, steamed mushrooms and tomatoes.
Saba Man really doesn’t care about which style box I use for packing his lunches.
He’s assures me that it’s all about what’s inside the box that counts.
“The bento box is for you and the bento food is for me!”
Sounds great… I think I’ll buy myself more presents!

Merry Christma to you! I think I have a similar one. Does the top tier rest slightly recessed into the bottom? You’re right, it seems big for a sandwich. But I love the versatility! Good going!
Thanks Sheri! Merry Christmas to you too. Yes, it’s does sit slightly recessed, but not enough to be bothersome.
Your bento looks so good — I haven’t make yakisoba in a LONG time, maybe it’s time!
I also really like that 2 tier stainless bento box!
Thanks Loree! Honestly, it was quite a long while before I made this yakisoba too. Don’t know why, but I’m glad I did. It’s so delicious.
I love stainless steel! Looks really elegant. And you’re right, it’s perfect for bento.
Hi Christine, Thanks so much. I think I’ll be packing this bento very often.
It’s a lovely box and the food is lovely too! All the different textures and colors make a very striking composition.
I wish A-chan was like Saba Man, but no she wants only cute boxes.
Hi Natakiya! Thanks so much for your nice comments. I guess I’m lucky that SM doesn’t care about the box. Just about the food.
