Farmers Market
Summer in Seattle is the most spectacular of all events. Growing up in Hawaii where everyday is a summer’s day, I took the warm sunshine for granted. But now…
I’m here in the Pacific Northwest on the shores of the magnificant Puget Sound…fully appreciating the value of the season.
Farmers Market season!
I take many photos of each visit to our area’s farmers markets. Most of them I don’t use or publish at all…so I’ve given a few of them a spot here on the blog. (click on each for larger image)
These are random shots of the “Edmonds Summer”, “Lake Forest Park Farmers”, and “Pike Place” markets. The latter is open all year round but I don’t usually shop there unless I have summer visitors so it’s just as seasonal.
Enjoy!

WOWZA! nuff sed.
Hi sheri!, hehehe…thanks! But don’t you have your fair share of markets in your area?
Gorgeous fresh produce! I really need to stop at our new local market and pick up fresh berries.. Great photos!
Hi ChantaleP, Yep, can’t resist the freshest of the harvest. Some of these items were picked the same morning!
Lovely portfolio of fresh food and flowers. I’m so happy people love Farmer’s Markets. Supermarket produce can sometimes be depressing. Yay! for summer!
Hi Judy,
Thanks! Yes, during the summer months I hardly ever buy produce from the stores.
Wow! The Farmer Market looks so colourful and cheerful! So nice! By the way, just curious why there is this Dog Rules board there, too many dogs around?
Hi KidsDreamWork! Yes, it certainly is a colorful place. There are many dogs at the market, but they are all well behaved dogs…just like the sign reads. Some of the vendors bring their dogs too.
So colourful!
Hi prince n princess mum! Thanks and yes, sometimes there is so much color that it seems more brilliant than the sun!
Beautiful pictures! All of this is so tempting!
Thanks Pipaw! It is very tempting and on some days I spend WAY too much.
Awesome pictures! So colorful and fresh looking … so many variety and clean too. I wish we have your farmers market here, it would be great
