How to Pack a Bento #3

Posted on July 06, 2010 by Debra

As you know, I lost all my media in the recent “failure to back up” pc fiasco!  But I won’t dwell except to say that the new “movie maker” application on my new pc is much easier to use…so let’s move forward with another video on “how to pack a bento”!

For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you would of read that Saba Man surprised me with posting our Anniversary celebration on the BIG scoreboard at yesterday’s baseball game!  Talk about a “public display of affection”!  :)

Well, that calls for BIG bento don’t you think?   And here it is… brown rice, barbecue chicken (leftover from 4th of July picnic) broccoli, carrots, cukes, tomatoes, enoki mushrooms, nori, and takuan flowers.  In hindsight, I should of made some tomato hearts for him!!!  But I’m still walking on clouds and flabbergasted after the huge anniversary gift!  I barely got this bento done in time for him to rush back to work!

Anyways… things are back to normal today, which means busy, busy, busy!

Here’s the step by step instructions on how I assembled today’s bento box lunch!

Congrats on the awesome anniversary present! Ichiro and a scoreboard announcement? It doesn’t get better than that. :-) Love the video and your stylish presentation. I have recently tried using takuan, after seeing how you implement it in your bento.

    Hi Debra, happy anniversary!
how to use enoki in bento? thanks..

    • Debra says:

Hello yenny! Thanks. As for the enoki, I usually place it in the bento as garnish or as a topping. It’s tasty raw or cooked.
