Salmon Patty and Cucumber Bento

Posted on June 08, 2010 by Debra

Quick bento post featuring more “Costco-stash”…salmon patties.  Saba Man loves them!

These salmon patties are a frequent item in his bento lunches.   I try to avoid processed foods,  but theses don’t have any mystery ingredients except maybe some unknown salmon bits!

I can grill them, bake them, simmer them, re-shape them and best of all “stash them”!   A very versatile staple!

Today’s salmon patty is simmered in shoyu and ginger!  The rest of Saba Man’s lunch is a cuke salad, brown rice, takuan, enoki mushrooms and tomatoes (under the mushrooms)!

It so nice to have a good stash like the salmon patties, that they’ll eat. Comes in handy in a pinch! The red bento really rounds off the overall look!
