Baked Salmon and Capellini Bento
Super easy and quick bento assembly using store bought baked salmon and leftover pasta!
I stopped by the deli and this luscious baked salmon caught my eye so I decided right then and there that I really didn’t have time to cook!
Tossed in some leftover capellini (shoyu, sesame oil, cilantro) salad, added steamed asparagus …and we “got bento”!
Oh wait, I did take the time to separate the flavors by using a lettuce leaf as baran.
And to prevent a totally utilitarian look —I garnished with sliced grape tomatoes, yellow carrots and salted black olives.
Oh yes… pre-cut nori (bento-stash
) too!

what a lovely quick one! that salmon *does* look moist and “luscious,” and you’ve complemented it perfectly with a little salty, a little crispy, a little juicy, and a little starchy! yum!
Hi megan, It was “relief” that I got through this one so quickly. Thanks!
That looks so fresh and delicious!
Hi Andre, Thank you, Saba Man said it was delicious!
Agree! You made the right decision not to cook. You gotta pay attention to the signs
Yellow carrots are my current bright color fave; looks totally delish!
Thank you sheri! Yellow carrots are fun to work with and I agree, they do add a bit “sunshine” to the bento.
I wish I could find yellow carrots here, they look so good!
Hi Pikko, they taste the same as regular old carrots, but somehow that yellow color is a boost. Maybe you could try growing your own yellow carrots! How cool would that me?
It looks delish, some days the nice and easy dishes are the best
Hi momoyof2girlz, Yep, less stress is the way to go…
Yum, that looks delish. I love salmon and can eat it every day!
Thanks Susan! Saba Man says the same!
Oh Debra, this one is so mouthwatering
