Happy New Year Tiger Bento
It’s Chinese New Year 2010, “The Year of the Tiger”.
It was late last night when I started packing this bento and before completion… I was cursing ! Hey…. Why can’t this be “The Year of the Egg”?
Anyway… long story short, here’s the final product; a featured bento with a base of roasted asparagus, white tiger musubi, veggie gyoza, salmon patties, cukes, and tomatoes (for you Linda).
Even though this bento was a challenge for me, I kind of like doing these charaben/kyaraben. You may see another one soon. In the meantime… Kung Hee Fat Choy!

When I look back on how I felt after doing a few charaben, I remember thinking, oh the heck with this. lol
Oh boy… what have I gotten myself into? hehehe
Cute tiger and lovely setup! Great job with charaben!
Hi sheri, Thank you!
The white tiger is SOOOO adorable! I love how the paws are sticking out the bottom!!!
Hello BentoBoxUk, Thank you so much for your nice comments.

this white tiger looks very gentle.. maybe a cute cub? and the paw prints are fantastic!!
Hi gamene, Yeah I think you’re right about it being a cub. Thank you for your comments. Yep, Kyaraben…once in a while is a fun treat!

Very cute, and the paw motif is wonderful. Also, I’d love those vegggie gyoza!
Hi bentobird, Thank you for your nice comments… as always. I love these veggie gyoza. Someday, I’m going to have to make some of my own from scratch.
Yeah Debra! I can feel the CNY from this bento. Nicely done tiger and cute paws. You presented all the CNY colors and great setting for the picture. I amazed … you even have the paws paper for the background d(^.^)b
Awww Lia, You are so kind with your words. Thank you. The background paper did work out nicely.
Great bento! I vote we add a year of the egg too!!
